The
course is covered with frost for the first few hours of each morning this time of year. While beautiful, frost can actually pose a
significant problem if not avoided properly. People walking and machines being driven on
frosty turf causes serious damage or turf kill off.
It
is imperative that pets, foot traffic, and machines stay off all of the golf course turf as long as
the frost is visible (usually until 9 or 10 AM). Golfers, whether walking or riding, will not
be permitted to golf nor will the maintenance staff be allowed to work on the
golf course until the frost has dissipated.
Thanks for your patience when it comes to waiting for the melt off, it will keep the turf in
excellent condition!
